Closing the doors: No Space for Devil

and give no opportunity to the devil. (ESV) Ephesians 4:27

Paul warns us that we should not give an opportunity to the devil in our lives. In this verse, the word opportunity refers a place, a beachhead, foothold, a chance to operate or launchpad. Devil cannot take access to our life. Therefore, he is just waiting for a launchpad or an open door in your life, from where he can attack other parts of your life and take over. In the context of this verse, ungodly anger and speech are the open doors. There are a few other open doors by which devil attacks people severely: unforgiveness, ungodly sexual engagement, fear, hatred/bitterness, occult, ungodly mindset, lies that we believe etc. Close every open door by which devil is attacking your life in order to steal, kill and destroy your spiritual blessings, peace and health. Guard your life by praying regularly as Jesus taught us to pray “lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” (ESV) Matthew 6:13. Make sure that there is no space or opportunity for devil in your life.
