But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. (ESV) Revelation 2:4
First love is passionate, devoted, committed and loyal. Christians in Ephesus lost their first love for
Jesus. Jesus wants that all his children should have first love for him. Jesus likes passion in our heart for
him, desperation for Him, hunger for Him, thirst for Him and desiring more of Him. Jesus expects fiery
heart for Him in you. He likes a heart full of feelings and emotions for Him. Our love and passion for
Jesus should increase every day.
Take a minute and just search your heart to see how much you love him. Then, pray to God to fill you
with a new fiery passion for Jesus.
