Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as
at Meribah, (ESV) Psalms 95:7-8
Spiritual receptivity is our readiness and willingness to
receive and respond to what God is ministering to us. When we hear God’s voice,
God expects a greater level of receptivity and a sensitive response to it. In
the parable of the sower, different soil conditions show the level of spiritual
receptivity and responsiveness to the voice of God. Spiritual receptivity
directly connected to the result of our spiritual activities. Higher the
receptivity, then higher the spiritual fruit. Many times, God wants to feed us,
but people miss it if they are not willing to receive it. Hearing/knowing and
receiving are two different things. In receiving, your heart moves and responds
to what you hear from God. This reflects through what you say and do in
response to what God ministers to you.
