Seek His Face

You have said, “Seek my face.”
My heart says to you,
“Your face, LORD, do I seek.” (ESV) Psalms 27:8

“Seek my face” is the invitation from God to everyone. God’s desire is that we may seek His face. Many times, believers seek His hand for just blessing. But God’s desire is that we may seek Him and follow Him – seeking the FACE of God. Jesus said that seeking Him should be our first priority - first place in your life. The Psalmist responded to God’s invitation to seek God from his heart: “Your face, LORD, do I seek.” The Hebrew word for seek means “to search out, to strive after.”  It shows the heart desire, passion and determination of the Psalmist towards God. In Ps.27:4, he expresses that he wants to dwell in the presence of God all the days of his life and gaze upon God’s beauty. He had a heart that is completely driven and directed to the face of God.

What is the desire your heart? How much you are seeking Him? Are you seeking His face?
