and they were continuing stedfastly in the teaching of the apostles, and the fellowship, and the breaking of the bread, and the prayers. (YLT) Acts 2:42
A beautiful garden can be destroyed by weeds if someone does not tend it regularly. Similarly, in our Christian walk we need to steward well the spiritual blessings and should not allow any weeds (cares, distractions, love of the world, offenses etc.) to just take over our spiritual blessings. It is true that many of you received salvation, Holy Spirit anointing and gifts, encounters with Jesus, miracles etc. These spiritual blessings should be faithfully stewarded well in order to bring them into a greater measure of increase and fruitfulness. Key for it mentions in Acts 2:42: “…continuing steadfastly...” It shows that early Christians who received salvation continuously renewed their priorities of spiritual life such as diligently receiving and learning from God’s servants, fellowship/sharing life with other believers, communion with Jesus, prayers etc. They renewed these priorities on a daily basis. They continued to renew themselves in the basic priorities of their spiritual lives over and over again. Watch out for weeds in your life which negatively influence your spiritual priorities and make you ineffective in your spiritual fruitfulness. Stay spiritually refreshed always by renewing our spiritual priorities.
