Living in Freedom

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. (ESV) Galatians 5:1

We are free in Christ. Nothing has the power to control us. Christ has given us freedom from sin and every kind of slave master. In Christ, we have control over everything. We enjoy freedom from every kind of negative influences over our lives. Paul now encourages that we need to keep this freedom in Christ by not submitting again to the yoke of slavery. Once you are in Christ, nothing can take control of your life without you giving them permission. Whatever that you empower in your lives will have authority over life. If you permit flesh to work, you empower flesh. If you have fear, you empower the reason behind your fear. Paul says you should not submit again to the yoke of slavery. We need to consciously disagree with things that try to take authority over us. We need to consistently agree with Jesus, so that Jesus can keep us in freedom. Live in freedom. Resist and disagree everything that are trying to take control and authority over your lives. Do not empower sin or any negative emotions/forces in your life by your permission or agreement. Keep your freedom in Christ.
